Sarah Haskins & Target Women: Making Fun Of Marketing To Women

As a woman in marketing, I love analyzing the marketing messages aimed at women. I get it; I really do: if your target market involves the female demographic, then it’s only natural to try to make your marketing appealing to women. I do it myself, when spreading the word about Womenwise Marketing.

What bothers me is how far off-base some of this marketing to women is. Sometimes I have a hard time expressing that sentiment. I can’t really describe why the yogurt commercials make me feel all icky inside—they just do.

Comedienne Sarah Haskins sums it up perfectly. Target Women mocks bad marketing to women. Sheer genius.

    Ha! Ha! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. That was great. I have been working my butt off all day. No. I had no yogurt. I had an espresso…. and something else today, I think. No yogurt in my refrigerator, unless it’s expired and has been there for months. Maybe they should market it to women who have no time to cook. (O;
