Score One For Human Resources
In case you were wondering exactly WHERE I’ll be working come January 2011, this box of cookies should give you a clue. It’s hard to tell from the photo, but that JPL logo is actually a sugar cookie. I haven’t eaten it yet – it’s too cool to eat, don’t you think? – but the others were delicious.
When I called the Human Resources department to thank them for the welcome gift, they told me that it was intended for my whole family – “Their lives will be affected by you working here,” they said, “so we wanted to make them feel welcome too.”
How thoughtful is that?

He certainly seemed that way when I interviewed with him last month.
Officially my title will be “copywriter,” but it’s hard to say exactly what I’ll be doing until I spend a few weeks there.
