Marketing Podcast, Episode 1: Nice Girls DO Get The Sale

One Woman Marketing’s premiere podcast features an interview with Elinor Stutz, CEO of Smooth Sale, LLC and author of the book, Nice Girls DO Get The Sale.
Elinor has a story many business women can relate to. She started her career as a stay-at-home mom looking for a way to earn extra income. The only job she could find was in sales, selling copiers door-to-door. Despite having no sales experience, she took the position—and was soon outselling all her colleagues using the power of nice.
When she started her own company, Elinor says,
“It was a different mindset because I wasn’t just selling a copier or a service for someone else. I was actually selling myself and my own services, so it was a hump I had to get over because I had learned to never brag about myself, and not to talk about what I’m working on, and you have to when you’re an entrepreneur.
“It was a whole new learning cycle for me on how to talk about the projects I’m working on and why I think that I might be better than another sales trainer. And it’s a continual education on how to do that and how to develop the confidence to be able to do that.”
Elinor shares her secrets for sales success in this interview, and proves that the power of nice really does work in marketing. You’ll also discover the inspiration behind One Woman Marketing and get helpful tips on organize your marketing efforts, whether you’re using cold calls, networking meetings, online marketing or other marketing tools.

Kelly,
I discovered Womenwise Marketing about a week ago and think it's fantastic! I've listened to several of your podcasts, and love how you've hit on something I can identify with – how marketing yourself can be downright embarrassing, and how important it is to find ways that suit your personality. Thanks!
