Inspired Marketing Friday: Food Photography Edition
I’ve become fascinated by food photography lately. (I blame Pinterest.) There’s a delicate art to making food look appetizing on camera, whether you’re photographing brownies you just pulled out of the oven or the fake ice cream that food stylists make with Crisco and powdered sugar.
Yes, I have done that. Yes, it is as disgusting as it sounds.
That’s why I was interested in this video, from an industry not known for its transparency. Yes, we all know that fast food looks vastly different in real life than it does on commercials. But why? McDonald’s Canada gives us a closer look.
Do I think they left certain details out? Yes. But this is way more transparency than I’m used to seeing, especially on a subject like food photography in advertising.
