Take A Bite Out Of Apple’s Lucrative iPhone App Market

Guest PostGuest post by Carla White. Win a free copy of Carla’s ebook,Inside Secrets to an iPhone App!” Details at the end of the post.

You don’t need to own an iPhone to realize the iPhone app market is steaming hot right now. It’s the newest craze to growing a brand, customer base, and revenues.

I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to be flush with cash or a genius programmer to tap into that market. How do I know? I did it on just $500 and I don’t even own an iPhone.

How Carla Did It

I launched my iPhone app, Gratitude Journal, in December 2008 without learning a single line of programming. The app shot straight up to #2 in the Lifestyles category and even had a brief visit in the top 50 overall.

Combining my iPhone development experience with my design and project management knowledge, I formulated a successful process that brings ideas to market faster. I reveal all of my juicy secrets in my e-book Inside Secrets to an iPhone App.

I worked on Gratitude Journal from 5 to 7 am each morning before going into my day job. I did all the designs, managed the development, started Happytapper.com and did all the promotion myself. I’m a one-person show.

“What About The Technical Stuff?”

I outsourced the development for just $500 … which is quite a feat considering that word on the street is it costs anywhere from $10K to $100K to create an app.You might say I was pretty lucky to find developers for only 500 bucks. I believe that luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. I do a lot of prep work before I even think about contacting developers.

Vision Board AppInvesting plenty of my time upfront scores me a decent rate, makes the developer’s job so much easier, and ensures that the project stays on schedule and budget.

To prove it, I created a second app for even less than the first! My next app, Vision Board will be available any day now.

Do you have a killer app idea and just not sure where to begin? Do you want to expand your product line or create a new avenue to reach more customers? You can do it without breaking the bank, learning a programming language, and hiring an amazing PR team. I’m living proof of that!
